Marsa Alam Diving
Marsa Alam is our southern base, further from the crowds and known for wild reefs and animals you rarely meet further north. The centre runs two reef dives every day straight from the beach, and from the same base you can take a boat to Abu Dabbab and Marsa Mubarak for dugongs and green turtles, to Elphinstone for the offshore wall, to Shaab Samadai and Sataya for spinner dolphins, or to the shallow Hamada wreck. Snorkelers get the same sites, and we teach the full PADI ladder here too.

How it works here
A diving day at our Marsa Alam base
One base on Coraya Bay, inside the Amarina Jannah Resort. You dive from the beach every day of the week, and the boat days leave from the same place, so your week is not spread across three operators.
Two reef dives a day, €70
The everyday programme. Both dives, tanks, weights, a guide and your hotel transfer are inside the €70.
Equipment €20 a day
BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins and boots. Bring your own and you pay nothing extra.
Transfers included
We collect you from your hotel across the Marsa Alam and Coraya Bay area, and bring you back.
Boat days to the famous sites
Abu Dabbab, Marsa Mubarak, Elphinstone, Shaab Samadai, Sataya and the Hamada wreck, all from this base.

Who you might meet down south
Marsa Alam is known for animals that are rare further north. These are the ones our guests come hoping to see.
Dugong
Dugong dugon
The Red Sea's gentle seagrass grazer. Regularly encountered at Marsa Mubarak and Abu Dabbab in Marsa Alam.
Spinner dolphin
Stenella longirostris
The acrobat of the Red Sea, famous for spinning leaps. Resident pods rest in lagoons like Shaab El Erg near Hurghada.
Oceanic whitetip shark
Carcharhinus longimanus
A bold open-water shark with huge rounded fins, met at offshore Red Sea reefs in autumn.
Green turtle
Chelonia mydas
The big seagrass eater. Grazes the bays of Makadi and Marsa Alam and rests under reef ledges.
Sightings are never guaranteed, but these are regular around Marsa Alam and its southern reefs.
